Our Story

Years as Part of the Community

The Kitchener-Waterloo Woodworking and Craft Centre began back in 1974 as “Project Woodwork”, when the City of Waterloo’s Adult Recreation Centre sought assistance to establish a woodworking facility for its older citizens. Our first workshop in Waterloo opened its doors on September 15th, 1975, with 21 members. Since then we have grown into a well-known meeting place for craft and woodworking enthusiasts, boasting:

  • More Than 170 Club Members
  • Quality Workshop Facilities
  • A Variety of Tools & Equipment
